It
As she sat there through the long day
With coming hours with nothing to do,
nothing to see except the clouds moving by overhead
A mysterious thing happened.
Through the night, in the tossing chest,
she listened to the waters that seemed always about to wash over them
All she knew was that a wave seemed to lift and carry swiftly on
She came upon a great box and broke it open
A beautiful gift from the universe had landed in her lap
She was so vibrant, full of love, generosity, and life
It had left its home
It was a homeless and life meant little
But It became a part of her life
Slowly
Gradually
Despite the difficulties,
They became involved in everyday life, with each other
Within the exploration comes greater consciousness
It was what changed her life
